Week One Update!

The puppies have been growing so much this past week! They're also starting to become more active and crawling around more. They are doing very well, and Sheena is now completely comfortable with us handling her puppies. She seems to sometimes have a contest to see if she can get as much attention as her babies do. :P I'm happy of what a wonderful mommy she's being. She's so proud of her puppies.

I love watching to puppies crawl around and squeal, trying to find where their mama is in the box whenever they're hungry. It's simply adorable!

The Puppies Are Here!

The puppies are finally here!! Early Tuesday morning, 4 beautiful puppies arrived. We're very excited to have them here!!

The birth actually went quite quickly. Sheena's contractions started at 2 am, and then at 4:45 am the first puppy arrived. After that the puppies came 15 minutes - 1 hour apart. The last puppy arrived at 8:05 am.

They are now 3 days old, and they are consistently gaining about 2-3 oz per day. Their life pretty much consists of eating and sleeping at this point. :) It's quite fun to watch them. Sheena has been a incredible mother! She licks them regularly and is constantly making sure they're all doing ok. :) She loves her puppies. :D
